The GEM complex is one of the largest museum complexes in the world, covering a total area of about 500,000 square meters. The main building is divided into two sections: the museum section, which spans 92,000 square meters, and the commercial section, covering 40,000 square meters. Both are accessed through the Grand Hall, where visitors are welcomed by the towering statue of Ramesses II.
