Description

A rectangular sandstone stela from the tomb of Neibunesut at Dendera. The stela owner is depicted standing on the right, facing left, holding the kherep sceptre and a flail. He wears a shoulder length hair wig and a leopard skin. According to the short hieroglyphic text on the stela, Neibunesut served as a ‘High Priest of Hathor’ whose cult was well established at Dendera since early dynastic times.
