Description
A silver bowl with two handles discovered in 1936 among other artefacts in the Tod Treasure. The bowl is decorated with spirals made by repoussé (shaping of metal by hammering from the reverse side). The decoration is of a non-Egyptian style suggesting a foreign origin for the vessel that was probably brought to Egypt via its extensive trade network.
