Third International Tutankhamun GEM Conference

The Third International Tutankhamun GEM Conference was held from  6th May 2017 until 8th May 2017. The conference focused on topics of human remains and furniture in the context of the Tutankhamun Collection. Research papers for this conference included discussions of the human remains of King Tutankhamun and the comparison of the boy king’s DNA with the DNA studies of his family and two daughters, as well as discussions around the best conservation methods for Tutankhamun’s funerary equipment that will soon be on display at GEM.
