Description
A painted limestone stela from Nag el-Hassaya cemetery in Upper Egypt. It belongs to the sistrum player Nebethutiyt, daughter of Psametik and is dated to Dynasty 26. On the rounded-top of the stela is a curved sign for the sky and a winged sun disc with two uraeus snakes. In the double scene below, Nebethutiyt raises both hands in adoration before Re-Horakhti (right) and Atum (left). Under the scene, are two hymns, each is composed of seven horizontal lines of hieroglyphs, invoking the two deities to grant offerings for the stela owner.
