Description
This limestone statue was found in the serdab (hidden room) of the mastaba tomb (D 29) of Rawer at Saqqara. Rawer held important titles that linked him to the priesthood and administration in Dynasty 5. His titles included: priest of Horus, lector priest and director of the palace. He is depicted with his left leg forward, his arms by his sides. He wears a short curly wig and a short kilt. His name and titles are carved on the base next to his feet.
