Description
A silver statuette of a sphinx, discovered in 1918, among other objects in the Dendera Treasure Hoard (a cache of votive silver, gold and bronze objects discovered in 1918 near the sacred lake of the temple of Dendera). The sphinx wears a nemes headcloth, a broad collar and its eyes were probably inlaid.
