Description
This small recumbent silver lion was discovered in 1936 among other artefacts in the Tod Treasure. The front paws of the lion are brought in together, its relaxed body lays partially on its side with its tail curled forward in a loop. Utterly charming, its mouth is slightly opened perhaps in a yawn or vocalization. The exquisite figure may have served as a weight for measuring.
